Porto Cervo Loop

Porto Cervo is located about 36 km north of Olbia, and provides a great road cycling loop. The loop is 47.1 km in total, and will take roughly two and a half hours to complete depending on how fast you ride.

Starting in the coastal town, ride your bike rental west on the Strada Provinciale 59, merge south onto Via Pini following the coastline, then turn right onto Strada Provinciale 162.

From there turn left onto Strada Comunale Cannigione-Saline to begin the big loop through Alzachena, then back up to the coast to pass through Cannigione. Once you reach Strada Provinciale 162, follow the same route back to your starting point.

Off Road Cycling in Sardinia

So much of the island is sparsely populated. Many roads are unpaved so there are countless options for all terrain cycling! To explore any of these trails, reserve a rental bike that is either a gravel bike, or mtb.

Cala Sabina Loop

The Cala Sabina loop is one of the best advanced off road loops to do with your mtb or gravel rental bikes. In total, the route is 51.2 km and will take about 3 and a half hours to complete.

The tour begins right in Olbia, and the highlights include Marinella Beach, Cala Sabina, Cala Moresca, and an incredible view of the Golf of Olbia.

Once you exit the city, follow Costello Cabu Abbas to Via Cabu Abbas. This trail will take you up and around the peninsula, where you'll pass through Villaggio Marineledda, and Figari/Golfo Aranci before looping back down to Olbia along the coast.
